Description of Circle Internet Group Inc
Founded in 2013, the company develops a global economic system built on the internet to facilitate frictionless value exchange and modernize financial services by addressing limitations of legacy infrastructure. Its platform is structured around three components: Arc Blockchain and Developer Infrastructure, Circle Digital Assets and Services, and Circle Applications. Arc is an open Layer-1 blockchain designed to bring real-world economic activity onchain, supported by developer tools and interoperability infrastructure. Circle Digital Assets include stablecoins such as USDC, EURC, and USYC, along with liquidity, custody, and trust infrastructure. Circle Applications, including Circle Payments Network and StableFX, utilize these digital assets to provide real-world utility. The platform supports thousands of companies, including consumer wallets, AI agents, digital asset exchanges, regulated custodians, banks, and payment companies. As of December 31, 2025, USDC had over $75 billion in circulation. The platform features high speed and scale, strong liquidity and interoperability, integration with traditional financial systems across more than 185 countries, a regulation-first approach, transparency through regular reporting, and support for third-party developers. The company aims to establish its platform as the economic operating system of the internet to foster innovation and institutional adoption.
The Company operates as a single reportable segment. The Chief Executive Officer, serving as the Chief Operating Decision Maker (CODM), reviews net income and expenses on a consolidated basis in line with the Consolidated Statements of Operations for decision-making, resource allocation, and financial performance evaluation. The CODM does not review segment assets beyond those reported in the Consolidated Balance Sheets. Accounting policies are detailed in Note 2, with additional business description and revenue information provided in Notes 1 and 11.
