Description of Ccc Intelligent Solutions Holdings Inc's Business Segments
The Company operates a single reportable segment, the Domestic Segment, which provides SaaS platforms for the insurance economy. Revenues are generated from software subscriptions, professional services, and non-software services. The Domestic Segment follows accounting policies consistent with those outlined in Note 2. There are no intra-entity sales or transfers. The Chief Executive Officer, serving as the chief operating decision maker (CODM), evaluates segment-level performance to guide strategic decisions regarding resource and capital allocation, financial performance relative to budgets, and incentive compensation targets. The CODM assesses net income or loss to determine reinvestment, acquisitions, dividends, or share repurchases. Financial reviews exclude certain non-recurring items and include revenue by service type and geographic region. Asset information is not utilized in decision-making. Segment financial data encompasses revenues; adjusted expenses such as data licenses and royalties, customer services, products and technology, revenue enablement, and general corporate and administrative expenses; other segment items; amortization; depreciation; interest expense and income; significant non-cash items; and income tax provision. An immaterial other segment exists but does not meet quantitative thresholds for separate reporting.
