Description of Alumis Inc
Alumis Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing targeted therapies for immune-mediated diseases. Its lead programs include two Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitors: envudeucitinib (envu), a second-generation inhibitor in Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and systemic lupus erythematosus, and A-005, a central nervous system-penetrant allosteric TYK2 inhibitor in Phase 1 trials targeting neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases. In May 2025, Alumis acquired lonigutamab, a monoclonal antibody targeting IGF-1R for potential treatment of Thyroid Eye Disease, through the ACELYRIN merger. The company employs a proprietary precision data analytics platform to select validated drug targets and accelerate development. Alumis's strategy includes expanding clinical development of envu to additional indications, advancing A-005 for CNS diseases, discovering earlier-stage candidates such as interferon regulatory factor 5 (IRF5), and pursuing strategic collaborations to enhance the global impact of its product candidates and portfolio.
