The company operates three reportable segments: uranium, rare earth elements (REE), and heavy mineral sands (HMS). The uranium segment encompasses conventional and in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium extraction, recovery, and sales of uranium from mineral properties, recycling of uranium-bearing materials from third parties, and exploration, permitting, and evaluation of uranium properties within the United States. The primary uranium product is natural uranium concentrate (U3O8) sold for nuclear fuel processing. This segment also produces vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) as a co-product and is investigating the separation of radium-226 and radium-228 for medical isotope production.
The REE segment is focused on developing full REE separation capabilities at the Mill to produce light and heavy separated REE oxides. In 2024, modifications enabled production of 850 to 1,000 metric tons per year of separated neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) from monazite (Phase 1 Circuit). Plans include expanding heavy REE production—dysprosium (Dy), terbium (Tb), samarium (Sm), europium (Eu), gadolinium (Gd)—and potentially yttrium (Y) and lutetium (Lu), subject to approvals and resources. A proposed Phase 2 Circuit aims to increase annual production to approximately 6,000 tonnes of NdPr, 200 tonnes of Dy, and 60 tonnes of Tb from monazite concentrates, mixed rare earth carbonates, or similar feed materials.
Feedstock for the REE segment is expected from company-owned mines, including the Vara Mada Project and Bahia Project; a joint venture interest in the Donald Project; acquisitions; joint ventures; open market offtake; and collaborations, subject to project and transaction development. Monazite-rich concentrate (MREC) and similar feedstock would also be sourced from third parties as available.
