Description of Lenz Therapeutics Inc
The company is a commercial pharmaceutical firm focused on developing and commercializing therapies to improve vision. Its principal product is VIZZ® (aceclidine ophthalmic solution) 1.44%, the first FDA-approved aceclidine-based eye drop for treating presbyopia, a condition affecting approximately 1.8 billion people worldwide and 128 million in the U.S. VIZZ is a once-daily eye drop designed to restore clear near vision for up to 10 hours without the need for reading glasses. It operates as a predominantly pupil-selective miotic that contracts the iris sphincter muscle, creating a pinhole effect to extend depth of focus and improve near vision without causing a myopic shift. The company commercially launched VIZZ in the U.S. in August 2025, initially targeting eye care professionals, with product availability expanded to retail pharmacies by November 2025. It is also establishing licensing and distribution partnerships internationally to provide global access to VIZZ. The company estimates the U.S. market opportunity for VIZZ to exceed $3 billion and has assembled an executive team to lead in this market category.
