Description of Kyivstar Group Ltd's Business Segments
The registrant operates a single reportable operating segment, Kyivstar, which generated revenues of US$1,157 million, US$919 million, and US$915 million for the years ended December 31, 2025, 2024, and 2023, respectively. Kyivstar comprises two related business lines: mobile telecommunications services and digital services. For the year ended December 31, 2025, mobile telecommunications accounted for approximately 89% of revenue and digital services for approximately 11%. For the year ended December 31, 2024, these figures were approximately 98% and 2%, respectively.
The telecommunications services business provides mobile services including voice, data, messaging, and wireless internet, as well as internet services such as corporate internet access, fixed-line telephone, data transmission, fixed-mobile convergence, and internet-TV via fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) network connections. The digital services business offers digital TV content on the Kyivstar TV platform in partnership with PLUS TV LLC, digital health services through Helsi, self-service options via the MyKyivstar app, big data and technology services through Kyivstar.Tech, and ride-hailing and delivery services through Uklon.
The mobile telecommunications business operates on 2G, 3G, and 4G/LTE networks under JSC Kyivstar and the Kyivstar brand, providing prepaid and postpaid voice, messaging, and wireless internet services, including bundles with voice, SMS, mobile data, over-the-top (OTT) services, and other benefits. As of December 31, 2025, approximately 83% of business-to-consumer (B2C) mobile customers were on prepaid plans. Kyivstar was the first mobile operator in Ukraine to launch Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology, with about 8.7 million subscribers using VoLTE as of December 31, 2025. The company provides national and international roaming services through active agreements covering hundreds of networks and countries. Messaging services include voice messaging, SMS, and information services, while wireless internet services include GPRS/EDGE, 3G, and 4G/LTE, with 96.2% population LTE coverage in Ukraine as of December 31, 2025.
