Description of Encore Energy's Business Segments

The Company operates a single segment focused on uranium extraction, recovery, and sales from mineral properties, as well as the exploration, permitting, and evaluation of uranium properties in the United States. The Chief Executive Officer serves as the Chief Operating Decision Maker (CODM), responsible for assessing financial performance and allocating resources based on mineral property performance and uranium sales. The Company’s uranium projects include the Rosita Uranium Project and the Alta Mesa Project, collectively referred to as the ISR Projects. The Company is classified as an Exploration Stage Issuer until proven or probable reserves are established. Expenditures for acquiring mineral rights are capitalized, while exploration and pre-extraction costs are expensed until reserves are confirmed. Construction and drilling costs are recorded within exploration costs in investing cash flows, whereas maintenance and lease fees are included in operating cash flows. Upon extraction, capitalized costs are depleted over estimated mineral resources using the units-of-production method; depletion costs are capitalized to inventory and recognized in cost of sales as inventory is sold.
