Description of Ecd Automotive Design Inc

ECD is a custom-car builder specializing in Restomod vehicles, focusing on classic models such as Land Rover Defenders, Range Rover Classic, Land Rover Series IIa and III, Jaguar E-Type, Ford Mustang, and Toyota FJ40. Founded in 2013 by enthusiasts of English vehicles, the company integrates classic vehicles with modern performance and customization. ECD operates a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility known as the "Rover Dome" in Kissimmee, Florida, employing 105 staff, including 67 ASE-certified craftsmen and technicians. The company manages the entire production process in-house, from sourcing base vehicles to final quality inspections, producing fully customized luxury vehicles. Each project requires approximately 12 to 14 months and 2,200 man-hours to complete. ECD serves high net worth individuals, providing a client engagement process throughout the build. Revenue is generated through direct sales of customized vehicles, repair and upgrade services, extended warranties, and commissions on used vehicle resales. To date, ECD has completed over 600 projects and has 67 contracted projects in its pipeline. In 2024, the company reported $25.1 million in revenue with a 23.4% gross margin and plans to expand production capacity and retail locations. ECD UK, a wholly owned subsidiary, supports vehicle sourcing and parts procurement in the United Kingdom.
The Company operates as a single operating and reportable segment. It generates revenue through the sale of Land Rover vehicles directly to customers. The build and sales contracts include a single performance obligation: to build a vehicle according to customer specifications, transfer title, and arrange shipping. Product revenue is recognized upon completion of the vehicle build and transfer of title, at which point the Company has the right to full payment, the customer holds legal title, and assumes significant risks and rewards of ownership. For certain contracts termed "owner donor vehicles," where title remains with the customer throughout the project, revenue is recognized when the vehicle is shipped back to the customer.
