As of December 31, 2025, the Company operates two reportable segments: Active Ingredient and Biopharmaceutical. The Active Ingredient segment focuses on developing proprietary extraction technologies and applying them to produce, develop, and commercialize active ingredients derived from oats and other renewable plant resources for the healthcare and cosmetic industries. Products in this segment include oat beta glucan, oat oil, and avenanthramides, which are primarily distributed through established networks. The Biopharmaceutical segment reflects the results of Aeterna Zentaris following its acquisition on June 3, 2024. This segment is involved in commercializing and developing pharmaceutical therapeutics and diagnostic tests, including the lead product Macrilen (macimorelin). It also encompasses costs related to the development of a pre-clinical pipeline targeting unmet medical needs across various indications, with an emphasis on rare or orphan diseases.
