Description of Brightstar Lottery Plc's Business Segments

The Company operates its continuing operations as a single reporting segment focused on the lottery business, generating revenue from sales, operations, product development, technology, and support for traditional lottery and iLottery customers worldwide. The Chief Executive Officer serves as the chief operating decision maker (CODM), reviewing net income from continuing operations to allocate resources and assess financial performance. The CODM uses net income to guide decisions on capital expenditures, debt repayment, dividends, and acquisitions. Segment assets correspond to total assets reported on the consolidated balance sheets. Revenue is geographically distributed, with significant contributions from the U.S., Italy, the rest of Europe, and other regions. Long-lived assets are also geographically allocated. The Company conducts related party transactions with De Agostini Group, which holds a controlling interest in Brightstar and significant economic and voting interests. These transactions include payments for support services and office space rental.
