Description of Amrize Ltd
Amrize Ltd is a building solutions company serving the North American market, offering products ranging from cement and aggregates to ready-mix concrete, asphalt, roofing systems, and other building materials. The company operates over 1,000 sites, facilities, and corporate offices across the United States, Canada, Colombia, Switzerland, and Jamaica, employing more than 19,000 people. Amrize serves over 23,000 customers in infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction markets. The company maintains strategically located facilities and a broad distribution network to optimize distribution costs and customer service. Its primary markets for cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and advanced roofing and wall systems are the United States and Canada. On June 23, 2025, Amrize was spun off from Holcim Ltd, becoming an independent public company. Since the spin-off, Amrize has streamlined its corporate cost structure, reduced external borrowings, and positioned itself for investments in growth projects, business combinations, and shareholder returns through dividends and share repurchases. The company is organized into two reportable segments, including Building Materials.
The company operates through two reportable segments: Building Materials and Building Envelope. The Building Materials segment provides branded products including cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials. Cement products are tailored to client specifications. Aggregates consist of natural and alternative materials used in ready-mix concrete, asphalt, and road construction. Ready-mix concrete is customized based on project requirements. The Building Envelope segment offers roofing and wall systems, including single-ply membranes, insulation, shingles, sheathing, waterproofing, protective coatings, adhesives, tapes, and sealants. Brands within this segment include Duro-Last (thermoplastic single-ply roofing systems), Elevate (commercial roofing systems with energy-efficient insulation), Malarkey (residential roofing solutions), OX Engineered Products (wall insulation and sheathing), Enverge (spray foam insulation), and Gaco (liquid-applied coatings and weatherproofing products). These products are used in commercial and residential new construction, public infrastructure, and repair and refurbishment projects.
