WisdomTree Board of Directors Responds to Graham Tuckwell’s Letter in Effort to Prioritize Transparency and Stockholder Engagement

In a recent press release, global financial innovator WisdomTree Inc. disclosed that its Board of Directors has sent a letter to Graham Tuckwell, chairman of ETFS Capital Limited, in response to his letter addressed to the Board on February 20, 2024. This exchange followed a meeting Mr. Tuckwell had with two members of WisdomTree’s Board on February 13, 2024.

One of the key motivations behind WisdomTree’s response is to maintain transparency with its stockholders. The company understands the importance of keeping its investors informed, regardless of their size and economic stake. By engaging in open and honest communication, WisdomTree aims to foster trust and confidence among its shareholders.

This latest development comes on the heels of WisdomTree’s announcement of its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2023. The company reported a net income of $19.1 million ($18.6 million net income, as adjusted), with $100.1 billion in ending assets under management (AUM), representing a 6.8% increase primarily attributable to market appreciation.

However, WisdomTree also reported net outflows of $0.3 billion, driven by outflows from its fixed income and commodity products. Despite this, the company remains optimistic and continues to explore ways to enhance its offerings and attract new investors.

In line with its commitment to transparency and stockholder engagement, WisdomTree has also introduced a stockholder Q&A platform called Say. This platform is now live and available for use ahead of the upcoming fourth-quarter earnings call scheduled for February 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. ET. Say provides an interactive space for stockholders to engage with the company, ask questions, and gain insights into their investments.
