TotalEnergies Strengthens Presence in Orange Basin with New Offshore Exploration Permit Acquisition
PARIS, (Regulatory News) - TotalEnergies (Paris:TTE) (LSE:TTE) (NYSE:TTE), in partnership with QatarEnergy, has signed an agreement to acquire interests in Block 3B/4B, located off the coast of South Africa. The deal involves the purchase of stakes from Africa Oil South Africa, Azinam (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eco Atlantic Oil & Gas), and Ricocure. Following the completion of this transaction, TotalEnergies will hold a 33% interest in the 3B/4B permit and assume the role of operator, while QatarEnergy will also have a stake in the permit.
