TotalEnergies and ONGC Collaborate to Monitor Methane Emissions in India
Paris-based energy company TotalEnergies has partnered with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to conduct methane emissions detection and measurement campaigns in India. The collaboration agreement, signed during India Energy Week 2024, will utilize TotalEnergies’ AUSEA (Airborne Ultralight Spectrometer for Environmental Applications) technology. Dr. Sangkaran Ratnam, Country Chair of TotalEnergies in India, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership’s potential to enhance environmental sustainability.
In a separate announcement, TotalEnergies and its partner Corio Generation announced that their Attentive Energy Two offshore wind project has been awarded a 20-year contract to supply 1.34 GW of renewable electricity to the state of New Jersey. The joint venture between TotalEnergies and Corio will provide renewable power to over 650,000 homes, contributing to New Jersey’s clean energy goals.
Furthermore, TotalEnergies recently released its fourth-quarter 2023 key indicators, estimated financial data, and relevant factors affecting the company’s performance. The figures showed a quarterly average Brent crude oil price of $84.3 per barrel, along with average selling prices for liquids of $80.2 per barrel. These indicators provide insights into TotalEnergies’ financial performance during that period.
