In the United Kingdom, United Utilities, one of the country’s largest listed water companies, has appointed Tetra Tech to a £100 million single-award contract. The ten-year gig will entail supporting the improvement of river health across the North West of England, a critical component for maintaining water quality. Tetra Tech’s team of engineers and scientists will lead program optimization, develop solutions, and guide the execution of the work.
Working with an overseas water company such as United Utilities underscores Tetra Tech’s broad scope, demonstrating their commitment to enhance water quality and health on a global level.
Advancing further into the international scene, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded Tetra Tech with a $24 million single-award contract for a critical environmental initiative. This venture aims to preserve biodiversity, conserve natural resources, and boost community livelihoods in Cambodia. Tetra Tech’s climate experts will work in cooperation with Cambodian partners to protect vulnerable ecosystems, an endeavor that aligns with the company’s long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and climate action.
On the European front, Tetra Tech now holds a framework agreement with Uisce Éireann, previously known as Irish Water, the National Water Utility of Ireland. The deal seeks to support a significant capital investment program providing expansive drinking water and wastewater management services all over the Republic of Ireland. This is an essential step in ensuring consistent, safe, and efficient water supply to the 80% of residential and commercial properties that Uisce Éireann services across Ireland.
