Public Schools of the Tarrytowns Join Forces with Ameresco for Energy Performance Contract
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - The Public Schools of Tarrytowns announced their strategic partnership with Ameresco, Inc. a leading cleantech integrator specializing in energy efficiency and renewable energy. Energia, an engineering firm acting as the Owners Representative, selected Ameresco to lead the Comprehensive Energy Audit following a thorough Request for Proposals (RFP) process. This collaboration aims to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions in the Tarrytowns school district.
Ameresco has a proven track record in the field, capable of delivering cutting-edge solutions for energy management. The company’s expertise lies in developing energy efficiency initiatives and renewable energy projects, which align with the Public Schools of Tarrytowns’ sustainability goals.
In addition to this partnership, Ameresco recently completed a 26.3-megawatt solar farm in DePue, Illinois. As the largest of its kind in Bureau County, this solar farm plays a crucial role in advancing the state’s renewable energy targets, aiming to achieve 25 percent renewable energy by 2025.
The DePue solar farm is composed of 65,832 solar photo and voltaic panels, generating a capacity of 20 MW AC.
