The first expansion involves a seven-figure contract with a US-allied International Government Agency for SkySat high-resolution satellite data. The second expansion is with the Government of New South Wales, Australia (NSW) through partner NGIS. Planet Labs expanded its existing contract to further support crisis response, urban planning, and biodiversity management in NSW. The Government of New South Wales has been an early adopter of Planet data, utilizing it for crucial applications such as flood disaster response, water resource management, and wildfire response. In addition to these expansions, Planet Labs also announced its collaboration with NVIDIA on onboard processing capabilities for its high-resolution Pelican-2 satellite.
