Parsons Corporation Selected as Final Designer for Replacement of Newark Bay Bridge
Chantilly, VA - In a significant development for transportation throughout New Jersey, Parsons Corporation has been chosen as the final designer for the replacement of the Vincent Robert Casciano Bridge, commonly referred to as the Newark Bay Bridge. This appointment marks the first final design contract of the Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension Improvements Program, a crucial initiative aimed at modernizing and enhancing safety along the 8.1-mile NJ Turnpike Extension.
The current Newark Bay Bridge, a structure nearly 70 years old, is reaching the end of its life, making its replacement an urgent priority for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Parsons Corporation, a renowned engineering and construction firm, will lead the design efforts from their Newark, NJ office.
