PagerDuty, a global leader in digital operations management, has announced the appointment of industry expert Teresa Carlson to the company’s Board of Directors. With over 25 years of experience, Carlson brings a wealth of knowledge in leading complex business transformations for premier SaaS, data management, and cloud businesses, including Amazon Web Services, Splunk, Microsoft, and General Catalyst.
This strategic move comes as PagerDuty faces financial challenges, with a cumulative net loss of $-52 million recorded in the past year, resulting in a negative return on investment (ROI) of -8.95%. However, PagerDuty aims to address these concerns by proposing a $350 million Convertible Senior Notes offering to qualified institutional buyers.
The Convertible Senior Notes offering will provide PagerDuty with much-needed capital for its expansion efforts. By offering flexibility to convert the notes into cash, common stock, or a combination of both, PagerDuty can strengthen its financial position, pursue growth initiatives, invest in research and development, and potentially make strategic acquisitions to expand its market reach.
