OSI Systems Secures Lucrative Contracts in Airport Security Systems, Cargo and Vehicle Inspection, and Electronic Assemblies Orders
HAWTHORNE, Calif. - Global technology provider, OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIS is set to make significant advancements in the security solutions market, following the recent announcement of multi-million dollar contracts with international clients.
OSI Systems’ Security division has been awarded a $42 million contract by an undisclosed international airport. Under the agreement, the company will provide a comprehensive range of checkpoint and hold baggage screening solutions. Noteworthy systems to be included in the project are the RTT 110 (Real Time Tomography) explosive detection system for hold baggage screening and the Orion 920CT (Computed Tomography) checkpoint screening system.
In addition to the airport security systems contract, OSI Systems’ Security division also secured a $9 million order from an international customer for its renowned Eagle M60 high-energy mobile cargo and vehicle inspection systems. This significant contract represents the initial fulfillment of a multi-year framework agreement between the company and the customer, highlighting the long-term potential of this partnership.
Further boosting its prospects, OSI Systems’ Optoelectronics and Manufacturing division has clinched orders totaling around $5 million to provide electronic assemblies to a leading technology original equipment manufacturer. The company plans to leverage its operations in the United Kingdom to efficiently fulfill these orders.
