SHANGHAI, China, Feb. 26, 2024 - NIO Inc., a renowned pioneer in the premium smart electric vehicle market, has recently made an impressive move by entering into a technology license agreement with Forseven Limited, a subsidiary of CYVN Holdings L.L.C.
Under the terms of the agreement, NIO’s subsidiary, NIO Technology (Anhui) Co. Ltd. will grant Forseven a non-exclusive and non-transferrable worldwide license to utilize specific existing and future technical information, software, and intellectual property rights associated with NIO’s smart electric vehicle platforms. These technologies, collectively known as the Licensed Technologies, can be utilized by Forseven for various purposes.
Firstly, Forseven will be able to use the Licensed Technologies for research and development, manufacturing, sales, import, and export of vehicle models bearing the Forseven brand name. These models will adhere to pre-agreed manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) thresholds, excluding taxes.
Secondly, Forseven will also be authorized to provide or procure certain after-sales services specifically catered to the Licensed Products and its users.
The Technology License Agreement opens up new avenues for Forseven, enabling them to harness the advanced technological expertise of NIO in the smart electric vehicle domain. It will equip Forseven with the necessary tools to enhance its product offerings and effectively compete in the evolving automotive market.
