Sector performance was mixed, with the retail apparel industry climbing 4.09%, significantly aided by Urban Outfitters' strong gains.The aluminum sector also performed well, increasing by 3.89%, bolstered by a 6.43% rise in Alcoa Corp.(AA).The airline industry rose 3.51%, propelled by strong showings from Alaska Air Group Inc.(ALK) and Delta Air Lines Inc.(DAL).Conversely, the department and discount retail sectors faced pressure, reflecting the difficulties highlighted by Burlington's poor performance.

The energy sector saw a boost due to rising crude oil prices, further indicating a recovery in energy stocks as market conditions stabilize.

In the cryptocurrency market, a mixed performance was noted, with Dash (DASH-USD) standing out, up 12.14%, followed by Decred (DCR-USD) and Basic Attention Token (BAT-USD) with gains of 6.42% and 3.64%, respectively.Bitcoin (BTC) also enjoyed a modest rise of 0.22%, trading at $87,572.36.
