Mercer Wise 401(k) and Mercer Wise Pooled Employer Plan Achieve $3.6 Billion in AUM
The Mercer Wise 401(k) and Mercer Wise Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) have reached a combined USD $3.6 billion in US plan assets under management (AUM). Both platforms are instrumental in streamlining retirement planning solutions for a wide array of employers and employees. The Mercer Wise 401(k), launched in 2017, alongside the Mercer Wise PEP, introduced in 2021, have rapidly expanded their market presence, signifying Mercer’s robust capabilities in the retirement landscape.
Acquisition of Cardano
Continuing its trajectory of growth, Mercer has entered an agreement to acquire Cardano, a specialist in long-term savings based in the UK and the Netherlands. Founded in 2000, Cardano commands approximately $66 billion in assets under management. This new entity was constituted through the acquisition of Mercer’s UK pension administration and U.S. health and benefits administration segments by Bain Capital Insurance, with participation from Bala Viswana.
