EHang Delivers EH216-S Units and Completes Passenger-Carrying Flight in Wencheng County
GUANGZHOU, China - EHang Holdings Limited, the leading urban air mobility (UAM) technology platform company, has announced the delivery of 27 units of its EH216-S passenger-carrying pilotless aircraft to Wencheng County Transportation Development Group Co. Ltd. in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. This marks a significant step towards Wencheng County’s comprehensive expansion in the low-altitude economy industry.
EHang has also gained attention for its achievements in other regions. In Abu Dhabi, the company successfully completed the first passenger-carrying demo flight of its EH216-S eVTOL aircraft, making it a milestone in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Middle East. The EH216-F and EH216-L pilotless eVTOLs, designed for high-rise firefighting and aerial logistics respectively, also showcased their debut flights in the UAE, demonstrating EHang’s diverse range of UAM capabilities.
Furthermore, EHang has established Japan’s first UAM Center in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a demonstration flight site, ground infrastructure, and maintenance base for EHang’s various eVTOL aircraft, including the EH216-S. This UAM center in Japan signifies a significant achievement in the country’s advanced air mobility industry.
