In the last four months, the energy giant has initiated construction of these parks to meet the burgeoning demand from customers opting for cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.
The newly commenced facilities Fish Creek Solar Park and Mission Road Solar Park in mid-Michigan, and Little Trout Solar Park in northern Michigan are all products of the firm’s CleanVision MIGreenPower program. This initiative allows DTE’s customers to voluntarily enroll and support the growth of renewable energy projects through their utility bills. “With the collaborative effort from our community, we are paving the way towards a more sustainable future,” declared a DTE Energy spokesperson.

In addition to its renewable energy ventures, DTE Energy has launched robust community assistance programs to help those in need. As summer temperatures spiked across metro Detroit, the company’s Energy Efficiency Assistance (EEA) program initiated the installation of nearly 1,000 free air conditioner units. Designed to assist local income-qualified customers, this program also provides critical home repairs, ensuring a safer and more comfortable living environment for vulnerable communities.
Moreover, DTE Energy’s dedication to technological innovation is yielding tangible benefits for its customers. Introduced as a cornerstone of the company’s strategy to improve energy reliability, their smart grid technology has already made significant strides. In 2024, the smart grid has prevented approximately 5,000 power interruptions and saved customers more than 1.8 million outage minutes. “Our advanced grid technology is not just about enhancing service reliability but also boosting customer satisfaction and trust,” said a DTE representative.
