Charles River Laboratories and Navega Therapeutics Enter Collaboration for Gene Therapy Manufacturing
WILMINGTON, Mass. - Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. and Navega Therapeutics, Inc. have announced a comprehensive gene therapy manufacturing collaboration. As part of Charles River’s Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) Accelerator Program (CAP), Navega will gain access to established contract development and manufacturing capabilities and advisory services. The collaboration aims to produce an adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapy.
Under the agreement, Navega will benefit from Charles River’s Cell and Gene Therapy Accelerator Program’s contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) capabilities. AAV9 production will be a key aspect of their collaboration, as Navega focuses on developing epigenetic gene therapies.
