Avangrid’s True North Solar Project Reaches Construction Milestone with Installation of Main Power Transformers

Avangrid, a sustainable energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, has achieved a significant milestone in its True North solar project in Texas. The company has successfully delivered and installed the main power transformers at the site, marking an important step forward for its first solar farm in the state. Additionally, module and racking system installation is progressing as planned, keeping the overall construction on schedule.

In a separate development, Avangrid, along with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), announced the delivery of power from the Vineyard Wind project to the New England grid for the first time. During the initial commissioning process, one turbine generated approximately five megawatts of power, showcasing the project’s capabilities.

Furthermore, Avangrid and CIP submitted their second annual report to the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER)
