The good news did not stop there for Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals. The company announced the commencement of the Phase 1/2a clinical study (NCT06209177) of its new hopeful, ARO-CFB. This experimental RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic is purposed for the treatment of complement-mediated kidney disease and has been dosed to the first batch of subjects.
This study includes up to 66 healthy volunteers as well as patients diagnosed with complement-mediated kidney disease. According to the company, ARO-CFB showed great potential during preclinical trials, displaying deep and durable red in kidneys, a vital aspect when dealing with kidney-related treatment and problems.
