Ford Motor Co's Comment on Supply Chain

The company implements various capabilities, processes, and security measures to manage cybersecurity risks associated with suppliers and service providers. While it conducts due diligence, onboarding, and cybersecurity assessments, the responsibility for maintaining cybersecurity programs lies with the suppliers and service providers. The company monitors their cybersecurity practices but recognizes limitations in preventing or mitigating third-party risks. If a supplier's cybersecurity is compromised, the company may terminate their access to its information systems. The company’s multi-layered cybersecurity risk management program, led by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), includes internal and external testing, training, and monitoring activities. This program aligns with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and incorporates disaster recovery and incident response plans. The CISO reports to the Chief Enterprise Technology Officer, who reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
