distribution businesses located in the UK and Australia; the growth of its Non-Utility
Nuclear business in the northeastern United States beginning in 1999; and the
termination of new greenfield power development activity in 2002. With the start
of the Entergy-Koch joint venture in early 2001, Entergy expanded its business
opportunities into new areas. The trading activities of Entergy-Koch extend
to various parts of the United States, as well as the United Kingdom, Western
Europe, and Canada. Entergy-Kochs Gulf South Pipeline system covers the Gulf
Coast region of the United States. Entergys financial interest in the Entergy-Koch
venture allows it to appoint fou r of the eight members of the general partners
board of directors. Operating decisions for Entergy-Koch are made by Entergy-Koch
management.
