Xerox Holdings's Comment on Supply Chain

The company manages inventories of raw materials and equipment based on near-term product demand forecasts, new product introductions, and remanufacturing strategies. Provisions for excess or obsolete service parts inventory are determined by projected servicing requirements over the equipment's lifespan. Land, buildings, and equipment are recorded at cost and depreciated over their useful lives, while leasehold improvements are depreciated over the shorter of the lease term or their useful life. Equipment under operating leases is depreciated to salvage value over the lease term using the straight-line method. Leases are classified as operating or finance leases based on the lease term and the present value of lease payments relative to the asset's value. Right-of-use assets and lease liabilities are recognized at lease commencement based on the present value of lease payments, using the company's incremental borrowing rate when the implicit rate is not determinable. The company evaluates contracts for embedded leases and classifies them accordingly. Operating and finance leases are reported in appropriate balance sheet categories.
