CHS provides products and services to domestic and international customers, including agricultural inputs such as fuels, farm supplies, crop nutrients, and crop protection products, as well as agricultural outputs like grain and oilseed, processed grain and oilseed, renewable fuels, and food products. Its Energy segment operates through refining, wholesaling, and retailing petroleum products. The Ag segment offers grain origination and marketing, wholesale agronomy sales, sales of soybean meal, refined soy oil, soyflour products, renewable fuels production and marketing, and retail sales of petroleum, agronomy products, processed sunflowers, feed, and farm supplies. CHS also participates in equity investments and joint ventures, including CF Industries Nitrogen, LLC, Ventura Foods, LLC, and Ardent Mills, LLC. Earnings from cooperative business are allocated to members and some nonmembers based on business volume, with patronage refunds provided to patrons.
