Standard Motor Products Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

The company procures raw materials such as brass, electronic components, fabricated copper, steel magnets, laminations, tubes and shafts, stamped steel parts, stainless steel coils and rods, aluminum coils, fittings, rods, cast aluminum parts, lead, steel roller bearings, rubber molding compound, thermo-set and thermo plastic molding powders, and chemicals. Components and cores for remanufacturing air conditioning compressors, diesel injectors, and diesel pumps are sourced from customer exchanges and a network of core brokers. Some materials are obtained by purchasing products resold into the market, primarily from OEM sources and other domestic and international suppliers. In 2025, the company experienced stabilization in global supply chains with fewer disruptions and delays in ocean freight shipments. Procurement teams addressed higher tariffs by shifting supply sources to countries with lower tariff rates and implemented cost-saving measures, vertical integration, and price negotiations. The company anticipates an adequate supply of primary raw materials and cores but recognizes risks and uncertainties related to supply availability and cost.
