Stores utilize proprietary systems such as Z-net for parts lookup and inventory tracking, along with a computerized Point-of-Sale System for sales and inventory control. The commercial sales program serves a fragmented market, offering prompt delivery, commercial credit, and online ordering through www.autozonepro.com and the AutoZone Pro mobile app. The company operates hub and mega hub stores that provide a larger assortment of parts for professional technicians and maintains dedicated sales teams for various commercial accounts. Store development has demonstrated net new store growth each fiscal year from 2021 to 2025. Criteria for new store locations include profitability, investment hurdle rate, population, demographics, vehicle profile, customer buying trends, commercial businesses, competitors, and real estate costs.
