Its Private Client Group, part of the consolidated Stifel branch system, comprises over 2,200 financial advisors operating in 402 branch offices across 48 states and the District of Columbia, along with more than 100 independent contractors. The company offers a wide range of investment products and services, including equity securities, taxable and tax-exempt fixed income securities, preferred stock, unit investment trusts, non-traditional investment strategies such as hedge funds and private equity funds, fee-based products, insurance, annuities, and investment company shares. Clients may select commission-based or fee-based money management programs. Independent contractors in the Stifel Independent Advisors (SIA) business provide similar financial products and services and may also engage in accounting, real estate brokerage, insurance, or other business activities. SIA functions as an introducing broker-dealer, clearing transactions through Stifel. On February 2, 2026, the company sold Stifel Independent Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary.
