The Trust serves investors in gold-related securities but is not registered as an investment company or commodity pool, and therefore does not have certain regulatory protections. The Custodian is responsible for safekeeping the Trust's gold, which may be held in New York, Toronto, London, or other approved locations, and may engage sub-custodians. The Custodian does not lend the Trust's gold and is liable only for losses resulting from negligence, fraud, or willful default.
