Superior Industries International Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

The automotive industry experienced supply chain disruptions and cost inflation following the COVID-19 pandemic, including shortages of semiconductors and increased costs for raw materials, labor, and energy. The conflict in Ukraine in early 2022 further intensified inflationary pressures, particularly on energy costs, which remain elevated in Europe. Customer purchase orders are generally linked to specific vehicle models, with contracts awarded two to four years prior to production. Major customers representing 10% or more of annual sales include General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen Group, and Toyota.
