Additional assembly and test sites include Nashua, New Hampshire; Hamilton, New Jersey; Morgan Hill, California; and Hsinchu, Taiwan. The company supplements internal manufacturing with outsourced foundry partners and third-party contract manufacturers for assembly, packaging, testing, and turnkey manufacturing. Principal substrate materials used include gallium, aluminum, arsenic, nitride, carbon, and silicon. The company procures semiconductors, wafers, packages, metals, printed circuit boards, electromechanical components, and other materials from hundreds of suppliers worldwide, typically on a purchase order basis. While alternative sources are maintained for key raw materials, the company may rely on single sources due to factors such as availability, performance, efficiency, or cost.
