The company holds significant unconsolidated joint ventures with Nishikawa Tachaplalert Cooper Ltd. in Thailand (20% ownership, sealing systems), Polyrub Cooper Standard FTS Private Ltd. in India (35% ownership, fluid transfer systems), Nishikawa Cooper LLC in the United States (40% ownership, sealing systems), Yantai Leading Solutions Auto Parts Co., Ltd. in China (50% ownership, fuel and brake delivery systems), and Cooper Standard Sealing (Guangzhou) Co. Ltd. in China (51% ownership, sealing and fluid transfer systems). It maintains technology sharing and licensing agreements with Nishikawa Rubber Company, a joint venture partner in sealing products, which include mutual arrangements for sales, marketing, and engineering services on certain sealing products, involving payments for services and royalties. Additionally, the company has licensing and joint development agreements for commercial applications of its Fortrex™ chemistry platform in non-automotive industries.
