Mechanics Bank provides banking services through branches, loan production offices, ATMs, and online, mobile, and telephone channels. The bank ceased originating auto loans in February 2023 but continues servicing its existing auto loan portfolio, which includes new and pre-owned retail automobile sales contracts from franchised and independent dealerships in the United States, until May 1, 2025. As of December 31, 2025, Mechanics Bank operated 166 full-service branches across California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii, along with three commercial lending centers in Southern California, Idaho, and Utah. The bank offers a range of financial products including commercial business loans, single-family residential mortgages, consumer loans, commercial real estate loans, and construction loans for residential and commercial development. Lending units consist of Commercial Banking, Mortgage and Consumer Lending, Multifamily Lending, Commercial Real Estate Lending, Residential Construction Lending, and Private Banking. Consumer loans are also available through the retail branch network. Mechanics Bank employs underwriting practices aimed at mitigating loan portfolio risks. The bank markets its services directly to prospective customers, obtains referrals from existing clients, adds experienced relationship managers, cross-sells products, and pursues opportunistic acquisitions or new office openings.
