The platform serves commercial end markets and commodities including refined products and chemicals, energy, agriculture, construction and metals, and consumer products. TrinityRail supplies various railcar types tailored to specific commodities: covered hopper cars for plastics, industrial sand, grain products, dry fertilizer, flour, starch, cement, construction materials, and lumber; open hopper and gondola cars for coal, scrap metal, aggregates, and finished steel; other freight cars for chemicals, food products, lumber, steel and metals, cement, autos, paper, and intermodal shipments; non-pressure tank cars for chemicals, petroleum products, crude oil, biofuels, food products, grain products, and aggregates; and pressure tank cars for liquified gases, chemicals, petroleum products, and fertilizer.
