Silicom Ltd's Comment on Supply Chain

The company manufactures finished goods primarily using components purchased from third parties and sub-assemblies from subcontractors, with quality assurance conducted at each stage of production. Key components are sourced from a limited number of suppliers, including Intel and Broadcom. Inventory levels are maintained based on forecasts and firm purchase orders; however, the company does not guarantee full utilization of this inventory. Compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act requires due diligence regarding conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which may affect the sourcing and availability of minerals such as cassiterite, wolframite, columbite-tantalite, gold, and their derivatives. This compliance may limit the number of suppliers providing DRC conflict-free components.
