Ducommun Incorporated's Comment on Supply Chain

The company supplies engineered products including illuminated pushbutton switches, panels for aviation and test systems, microwave and millimeter switches and filters, motors and resolvers, and lightning diversion systems. Its Structural Systems division offers structural components, assemblies, bonded metal and composite components, precision profile extrusions, ammunition handling systems, seals, and aerodynamic systems for aerospace and defense markets. The company manufactures large, complex contoured aerostructure components made from aluminum, titanium, and Inconel, including winglets, engine components, fuselage panels, wing spoilers, rotor blades, flight control surfaces, engine nacelle components, and custom gun mounts. Structural Systems maintains advanced engineering and manufacturing capabilities such as machine milling, stretch-forming, hot-forming, metal bonding, composite layup, and chemical milling. In 2025, aerospace and defense markets accounted for 96% of the company's total net revenues. Suppliers in these markets are categorized as OEMs (prime contractors), Tier One, Tier Two, and Tier Three suppliers. The company generates significant revenue from subcontracts with OEMs, who sell to government entities, commercial airline carriers, and leasing companies. Tier One suppliers manufacture aircraft sections and purchase assemblies, while Tier Two suppliers provide more complex, value-added parts and assume greater risks in design, manufacturing, supply chain, and project management.
