Porch Group Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

The company sources raw materials including lumber and steel, which are subject to market volatility. It utilizes a captive reinsurer, owned by the company, to provide reinsurance coverage for the Reciprocal, specifically for risks with low earnings volatility such as non-catastrophic weather quota share, effective April 1, 2025. The company's consolidated financial statements reflect the full reserve amount for the reinsured business. The effectiveness of the captive reinsurance program depends on factors including access to financial solutions, loss levels, regulatory conditions, and tax considerations. The Reciprocal depends significantly on relationships with third-party independent agents and agencies to solicit and bind insurance policies. Adverse changes in these relationships or agent misconduct could negatively impact the business. The company seeks growth by managing insurance operations, reducing attrition, generating surplus, and increasing sales of home-related services per customer. The insurance industry experiences cyclical financial performance influenced by premium rates and underwriting capacity.
