Três Marias sources the majority of its raw materials from its mining operations in Brazil and Peru, with 18.2% obtained from third parties or secondary feed materials. The Juiz de Fora smelter, fully owned by Nexa Brazil (a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexa Resources), sources 37.2% of its zinc raw material from its own mining operations, 52.6% from third parties, and 10.1% from secondary feed materials such as electric arc furnace and brass oxide. Both Três Marias and Juiz de Fora produce sulfuric acid, with some quantities sold externally. The company is involved in growth projects including brownfield and greenfield exploration and development in Peru, Brazil, and Namibia. It holds a 12.15% stake in Tinka Resources Limited, which owns the Ayawilca zinc-silver development project in Peru. Key brownfield projects include the Cerro Pasco Complex Integration Project and the Vazante mine deepening project, aimed at extending the life of existing operations and enhancing infrastructure.
