Lattice Semiconductor's Comment on Supply Chain

The company sources finished silicon wafers and manufactures silicon products through semiconductor foundries, enabling a focus on product and market development without owning manufacturing facilities. Key foundry partners include United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) and its subsidiary United Semiconductor Japan Corporation (USJC) for 130nm to 40nm CMOS process technologies and embedded flash memory; Samsung Semiconductor for 28nm FD-SOI technology used in the Nexus FPGA platform; Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) for 16nm technology used in Avant and Nexus 2 FPGA platforms and for 350nm to 40nm products; and Seiko Epson for 500nm to 180nm products. Silicon wafers are sourced from these foundries under negotiated agreements. Assembly and testing are primarily outsourced to Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. (ASE), with Amkor Technology as a qualified second source. Both ASE and Amkor manufacture products in Asia, with pricing, volumes, and terms negotiated periodically. The company offers lead-free and RoHS compliant products, some of which are also Halogen Free. Internal testing and quality assurance are conducted during development, with certifications including ISO9001:2015, AEC-Q100, and ISO26262.
