The company sources raw materials such as steel, aluminum, petroleum-based products, copper, resin, foam, fabrics, wire, and wire components. Steel, copper, and petroleum-based products are purchased at market prices fixed over varying periods. Market index pricing and competitive bidding are used to manage cost volatility and align customer pricing with material costs. Some component purchases and suppliers are directed by customers, with cost changes passed through accordingly. The company is not dependent on a single or limited group of suppliers. Manufacturing employs flexible cells to accommodate specialized, low-volume, and expedited orders, with facilities located near customers to reduce shipping costs. Just-in-time manufacturing and sourcing minimize inventory, with some locations receiving deliveries up to twice daily. Temporary labor is utilized to adjust costs and throughput based on demand fluctuations. Research and development capabilities include product styling, design, simulation, testing, and evaluation to support the production of quality, technologically advanced products.
