Baker Hughes's Comment on Supply Chain

The company procures a range of raw materials and component parts, including steel alloys, chromium, nickel, titanium, barite, beryllium, copper, lead, tungsten carbide, synthetic and natural diamonds, gels, sand and other proppants, printed circuit boards, electronic components, and hydrocarbon-based chemical feedstocks. While most essential raw materials are sourced from multiple suppliers, certain items such as nickel-based super alloys, tungsten carbide, and rare earth components face availability constraints. Tariffs in early 2025 created supply chain challenges, with ongoing management anticipated through 2026. The procurement teams employ advanced planning and may establish strategic agreements with global suppliers to address price and availability concerns. Additionally, the company utilizes services from metal fabricators, machine shops, foundries, forge shops, assembly operations, contract manufacturers, logistics providers, packagers, and indirect material suppliers, which are generally available from multiple sources. Sustainability is a key aspect of the company's strategy, targeting a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Supplier engagement includes assessments and partnerships aimed at improving resilience and performance throughout the value chain.
