Counties are also considered part of the market area.
Specifically, our market area is situated between:
Binghamton, Broome County, New York, located to the north; and
Bethlehem, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, to the south.
Susquehanna County could best be described as a bedroom county with a high percentage
of its residents commuting to work in Broome County, New York, or Lackawanna County,
Pennsylvania. The southern part of Susquehanna County tends to gravitate south
for both employment and shopping, while the northern part of the county goes north
to Broome County, New York. The western part of Susquehanna County gravitates
south and west to and through Wyoming County. Approximately half of our offices
are located in and around Scranton, the largest city in Lackawanna County with
the remaining offices located in counties that would be considered sparsely populated,
as they are made up of many small towns and villages. Peoples entered into the
