First Northwest Bancorp's Comment on Sales, Marketing and Customers

We conduct our operations out of our main administrative office and eight full-service branch offices in northwestern Washington for a total of nine full service branches. The administrative office is located in Port Angeles, in Clallam County, Washington. Seven of our branch offices are located in Clallam County, one branch office is located in Jefferson County and one branch office is located in Kitsap County. We also have a loan production office that is located in Bellingham, in Whatcom County, Washington.

Key employment sectors include aerospace, military, information technology, clean technology, biotechnology, education, logistics, international trade and tourism. The region is well known for the long-term presence of The Boeing Corporation and Microsoft, two major industry leaders. The military presence includes a number of large installations serving the U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy. Given the employment profile, the regions workforce is generally highly educated. Washingtons geographic proximity to the Pacific Rim along with a deep water port has made it a center for international trade as well, which contributes significantly to the regional economy (one in three jobs in Washington is tied to foreign exports). The Washington ports make Washington the fourth largest exporting state in the nation, and the top five trading partners with Washington include China, Mexico, Canada, Japan and Korea. Tourism has also developed into a major industry for the area, due to the scenic beauty, temperate climate, and easy accessibility. Maritime industry employment, supported by the trade and fishing industries, is also an important employment sector.
